Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
At the end of the 19th century, Fred W. Swanton set out to transform a collection of seaside bathhouses and concessions into the Coney Island of the West. 100 years later, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk continues to attract families in search of carnival rides, games, delicious treats, and world famous thrill rides. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has long been recognized for its beach setting and wooden coasters, two of which are National Historic Landmarks.
